Stealing Daddy's Pen Period This is Julian's earliest artwork period. It consisted mostly of stealing pens off Daddy's desk and scribbling on whatever paper was nearby. This included Daddy's reports, bills, receipts, and the desk itself.

Red-Green-Blue Period During this period, Julian learned to use his crayons. He only had three crayons: red, green, and blue.

Color Explosion Period Julian expanded from three crayons to eight markers, nearly tripling his color depth. It took time to control his urge to use every color in every work of art.

Pit Stop February 7, 2009

Mixed Media Period Eventually, Julian was allowed to expand his artistic expression into new media, including paints and clay.
