The Julian Project

This is a project of attempting to get a clear photo of Julian's face on each of his birthdays. It wasn't easy at first, but it is getting better.

These are some notes about the pictures:: 12-12-2006: This is my birth photo. I was laying down, so it is rotated.
01-12-2007: My eyes were open right after I was born, but the only good photos were when I was sleeping.
02-12-2007: I'm propped between a box and Daddy to help me sit up straight.
03-12-2007: This is cropped from a photo of the first flowers of spring.
04-12-2007: This is Daddy's favorite photo of my whole first year. It is just quick snapshot before we went for a walk to the store.
05-12-2007: This is at Aunt Christine's house. I was being wobbly, so you can see the background is tilted.
06-12-2007: This is on our new couch. We bought it from the Sofa Super Store the week before it burned down, killing 9 firemen.
07-12-2007: Mommy had to hold me to get me to sit still for a photo.
08-12-2007: Daddy got me to sit still by giving offering me juice and cookies. It only lasted long enough for one photo.
09-12-2007: This is at Folly Beach with Mommy. I'm inside my play tent.
10-12-2007: I would not stay still. Daddy snapped dozens of photos as I ran around the house. This is the best he got.
11-12-2007: I'm strapped into a highchair at a restaurant. Otherwise, I wouldn't stay still for a photo.
12-12-2007: This is actually a photo of me after Daddy cut off most of my hair while I was sleeping.
01-12-2008: Daddy got this by playing a game with me. I took his picture and then he took mine.
02-12-2008: I refused to have my picture taken, so Daddy snuck this one in while I was getting my diaper changed.
03-12-2008: This is at the mall. I got ice cream in my hair, as you can see. I'm not being still. Daddy is running backwards while I chase him.
04-12-2008: I'm only being still to show how good I am at making fart noises with my mouth.
05-12-2008: I think I'm starting to like having my photo taken. Daddy told me to say "cheese", so I did.
06-12-2008: If you could see my hands, you'd see that I have work gloves on so I can help Daddy fix the laundry room.
07-12-2008: I'm happy to show off my new hat.
08-12-2008: I was busy playing with my trucks in the kitchen and Mommy snuck in and snapped a photo of me.
09-12-2008: I wasn't happy about photo time. Daddy had to put me on his lap to keep me still (that's him, out of focus, behind me).
10-12-2008: Mommy came out while I was on my porch and told me to say cheese, so I did.
11-12-2008: I didn't want to have my picture taken. This is me after Daddy tried at least 20 times to get me sit still.
12-12-2008: Again, I didn't want to have my picture taken. Daddy got this when I was taking a break from running around the Chick-fil-A play room.
01-12-2009: Daddy realized, just before bedtime, that he needed a picture. I gave him one very quick smile and he luckily got the camera ready in time.
02-12-2009: Daddy had to chase me from room to room. He finally trapped me in the corner near the bed and got this photo before I darted under the bed.
03-12-2009: No problems this month. Daddy told me to say cheese and I did.
04-12-2009: Daddy caught be in between Easter egg hunting.
05-12-2009: Every time Daddy told me to pose, I would stick my foot, or Pooh, or Penguin, or anything else in front of my face. Then, Daddy tricked me by saying he wasn't going to take another picture and when I looked at him the camera flashed.
06-12-2009: Daddy had to take my picture while I was shaking my head no no no no no no.
07-12-2009: Daddy came in and snapped my picture just as I woke up from my nap.
08-12-2009: Cheese!
09-12-2009: Double-cheese! I got cheesy-puff mouth.
10-12-2009: You can only get me still while I'm watching TV.
