Welcome to JulianWagner.net!
This is a mini-journal. For more information, you'll want to see my albums or videos. The project is a month-by-month collage that Daddy is working on.2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023
(Dec 31) Grandpa drove Mommy and me to the airport. We flew on three airplanes and met Daddy. He drove us to my other Grandpa's house. I got more presents.
(Dec 26) Daddy left with a car full of stuff. He said that he is going to get a place for us to stay while he goes back to school. Mommy and I get to fly out next week.
(Dec 25) I woke up when the morning sun lit up the room and there were presents on the foot of my bed. Mommy and Daddy said that Santa must have left them there. I got a huge glow-in-the-dark train set, cars, and Wall-E.
(Dec 21) Grandma came just to see me (and drop off some stuff - but mostly just to see me).
(Dec 20) It is still warm. We went to the beach. There is a park there with a pirate ship and lighthouse. I found a lot of shells, but I liked the baby shells the most.
(Dec 17) Mommy had an ultrasound today. I saw a little thing that looked like a tadpole. The photo is in my album.
(Dec 13) I had my birthday party at Bee City today. My friends from school came and we fed the lemurs and monkeys and chickens and fish and especially the goats. That was the best. I got a lot of cool presents (I even shared my new trucks with the other boys). After a whole week of getting presents, Mommy and Daddy are telling me that I'm getting spoiled. I hope there is some special day coming soon so I can get more presents.
(Dec 12) I am TWO!!! I don't know what that means, but everyone is making a big deal out of it.
(Dec 7) Mommy and Daddy told me that I'm going to be a big brother. I don't really understand what that means.
(Dec 6) Grandma took me to the zoo and I got to ride a train.
(Dec 1) It appears that Santa tried to hide some Christmas presents in Daddy's closet. Mommy said that I could play with the trains, but Santa needs to find something else for Christmas (and a better hiding place).
(Nov 26) We stayed in a hotel at the beach. The appologized for the "beach renewment" program, but it was the coolest thing ever. There were bulldozers, cranes, diggers, and forklifts. They even had a tiny little house raised up on long legs to oversee the whole thing.
(Nov 25) We went to Grandpa's for Thanksgiving and I ate turkey and chicken and potatoes. I didn't care much for the cranberries. I really liked the egg nog. After that I took a long nap.
(Nov 10) I made chili. Daddy opened the cans of tomatoes and beans. I poured them all in the pot, stirred them up, and added chili powder. It was so good, everyone had two bowls (including me).
(Nov 3) I got to pet a real hedgehog today. It was pokey (ouch). Then, it pooped on Daddy.
(Oct 30) Mommy and I picked up a pumpkin. Daddy showed me a bunch of eyes, noses, and mouths. I picked out the ones I liked and helped Daddy carve a scary face in the pumpkin. It is on the porch now with candles in it.
(Oct 17) We're going vacation for a whole week.
(Oct 6) I'm going to Boston to see my Great-Grandma.
(Sep 30) I went peepee in my new toilet.
(Sep 27) Grandma called and said she was going to bring my cousin Michael to meet us at Bee City. I was good and got an ice cream. I didn't even cry when a duck bit my thumb.
(Sep 19) We went to Hair Bears and I got my first professional haircut. I didn't cry one bit (until Daddy said I had to put down the toys and leave).
(Sep 13) We decided to go to the mall and it was Police Day. I got to play in police cars, on police motorcycles, in a paddy wagon, and even in a SWAT HUMV.
(Sep 7) The weather is great, so we spent the day at the beach.
(Sep 2) Today is my official first day of school. Some of the kids were crying when their mommies left, but I just wanted to go in back and play in the playground.
(Sep 30) I took two of my friends to Bee City to see all the animals. I fed the lemurs without getting scratched this time.
Grandma was there when I got back home. Daddy and Del built a deck on the back of the house while I went swimming with Grandma and Mommy.
(Aug 24) I'm finally home from my long road trip!
(Aug 23) To finish off my train trip, we went to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum and rode a train over four bridges and through a long tunnel. Then, I napped while we went to Atlanta, where we went to the Georgia Aquarium. I saw tons of fish, sharks, and whales. I got nose to beak with a penguin (good thing there was glass between us). I had dinner at Chuck E. Cheese in Augusta to poop me out for the final drive home.
(Aug 22) I had breakfast at Chuck E. Cheese in Paducah. Then (just in case I didn't get enough trains) Mommy and Daddy took me to Chattanooga. We stayed at the Holiday Inn: Chattanooga Choo Choo. Our room was on a real train. We ate pizza in a train. I got to climb in an engine and ride on little train rides.
(Aug 21) Daddy told Mommy we could head home early. We went to St. Louis and visited the Museum of Transportation where I got to climb on all kinds of trains. I threw up in the car later and we had to do an emergency stop in Metropolis for the night (they have a lot of Superman stuff there).
(Aug 20) Gavin (and Grandma and Aunt Lindsay) came to visit. I showed Gavin my new trucks and then we all went swimming.
(Aug 18) Mommy and Daddy found a train, but it was behind a fence. I was angry because I couldn't get on the train. So, we looked at houses. I liked one of them. Another one had trash all over it and dead mice in the bedroom. Mommy said we were done looking at houses after that.
(Aug 17) We've been driving for three days. I'm tired of my car seat. Mommy promised that we can play all day this whole week - no long driving.
(Aug 8) We went to see Grandpa for this birthday. We went swimming and I don't need anyone to hold me anymore.
(Aug 1) Mommy and I went to Grandma's house for Aunt Christine's birthday. Daddy had to stay home to finish working on the house.
(Jul 21) Daddy stayed up half the night putting down bamboo flooring in the living room. I helped by banging on the boards after he glued them down.
(Jul 13) Mommy's friend, Charlene, is staying here to play trucks with me all week.
(Jul 12) Daddy surprised both Mommy and me by taking us to Bee City. They have bees (of course) and a huge petting zoo.
(Jul 6) We all went to the Children's Museum of the Lowcountry. I got to play on shrimp boat and in a castle.
(Jul 4) Daddy didn't go to work today. Instead, we all went to the splash fountain at the park. Then, I took a nap. Then, we went to have dinner in the park. Then, we played in his office (I liked racing around the office in the roller chair). When it got dark, I saw tons of fireworks. I fell asleep before they were over though.
(Jun 28) Daddy took me to the aquarium. I forgot that the fish tanks have glass around them and ran right into the side of one. It hurt, but I felt better when I got to watch the crabs and lobsters swimming around.
(Jun 19) I'm spending the weekend with Grandma. I don't know Mommy and Daddy will do without me.
(Jun 11) I went to Grandpa's house. On the way, a girl pulled into the street and hit our car! I'm OK, but the car needs some work.
(Jun 8) Grandma surprised us by showing up in town. We all went out for dinner.
(Jun 7) Mommy heard a hiss in the laundry room. Daddy traced it to the wall on the back of the house. He made a small hole in the wall and water started shooting halfway across the backyard. A nice plumber fixed the leak and now Daddy has to repair the wall.
(May 25) We've all been very sick, but Mommy and I are feeling good enough now to go visit the neighbors.
(May 17) I finally got Mommy and Daddy to break down and buy me my own Thomas the Train set. Daddy even built a table to put the track on.
(May 15) Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor because I've had a fever and haven't been eating much. The doctor told them that I have blisters in my throat from hand, foot and mouth disease. Hopefully I'll feel better soon.
(May 11) We took Mommy to Red Lobster for Mother's Day lunch. For dinner, we just had a bananna split.
(May 8) I went to the Children's Museum with my cousin Michael. I got to do shopping, ride a big tractor, and dress up like a fireman.
(Apr 29) I went to Brittlebank Park for the first time and met Mayor Joe Riley.
(Apr 24) We took Grandma to Folly Beach. I met other kids and we had a lot of fun playing in the sand.
(Apr 23) We took Grandma to Magnolia Gardens. The mean goat was locked up and the bunnies were all hopping around everywhere. I dug up a shark tooth and gave it to Grandma.
(Apr 20) I spent the night with Grandma Florence while Mommy and Daddy took Grandma Connie to a Moody Blues concert. I can say two words very well: truck and duck. If it is big or has wheels, it is a truck. If it is small or has feathers, it is a duck.
(Apr 19) I went to Chuck E. Cheese's for the first time. It was, by far, the best place I've ever been to.
(Apr 18) Mommy and Daddy keep telling me to stay away from the towel warmer when I'm wet. I didn't listen this morning and touched it with my foot. Now I have a big welt where it burned me.
(Apr 17) Mommy left me in the kitchen without a diaper on while she took the trash out. While she was gone, a big brownish thing came out of my bottom. I wasn't sure what it was, so I put it in the recycle bin.
(Apr 11) I rode the bus to work with Daddy. It is huge and full of all kinds of people.
(Apr 6) Grandma came down and we all went to Magnolia Plantation. I had fun even though a mean goat knocked me down.
(Mar 28) I saw a huge train full of new cars go by the park. It was loud, but I love yelling "Choo Choo" as it went by.
(Mar 27) Daddy called in sick to help take care of Mommy and me. He ended up taking us to the beach.
(Mar 26) I had a great time playing with the other kids in the neighborhood yesterday. I didn't want to come inside when it got cold. Now, I have a sore throat and a fever. I'm going to see the doctor.
(Mar 23) I went to Grandma's house for Easter. I ate plenty of candy and played outside almost the whole day.
(Mar 12) I got a tricycle/rocker for my 15-month birthday. I can already scoot it all over the place. We went to the park and to Chik-fil-a (I played in Toddler Town with a bunch of other kids) and we went to the mall where I played with toys and rode the carousel. I tried to go all day without a nap and it just made me so cranky that Mommy and Daddy had to take me home and put me in bed early.
(Mar 4) I'm getting very good at saying "uh-oh." Along with "more," what else would I need to learn to say. Well, when I fall and hit my head, crying "Momma" tends to get me a lot of attention.
(Mar 2) I have a tummy ache. I keep trying to sleep, but my tummy hurts and wakes me up.
(Mar 1) We went to Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. I saw a lot of animals (including an all-white peafowl). We saw a lot of flowers. Then, I dug in a fossil pit and found a shark tooth and vertebrae.
(Feb 27) I went to see Grandpa and he took us to Myrtle Beach State Park.
(Feb 23) I don't know why, but Mommy and Daddy took me out for lunch, then we went to the big park, then we went to the little park, then we went out for dinner, and then I played at Toddler Town. I am pooped.
(Feb 18) Mommy didn't feel well, so Daddy took the day off work and we went to Moes, Blockbuster (to get a movie for Mommy), the bookstore, and the mall. I got to ride all the rides I wanted.
(Feb 15) Grandma took me to the zoo. I saw owls, elephants, gorillas, giraffes, and so much more.
(Feb 14) Happy Valentine's Day! Daddy helped me make a card for Mommy. I'm also taking cards to the other kids in the neighborhood.
(Feb 12) Daddy got out his computer image editing skills and made a Valentine's picture to send to Grandma and Grandma and Grandpa and Grandpa.
(Feb 10) I went to visit Grandpa and swam in the pool twice.
(Feb 6) I went to work with Daddy. I even rode the bus and went to the cafeteria and everything.
(Feb 4) Daddy put my matress on the floor by his bed. I'm going to try and sleep in my own bed all night.
(Jan 23) I had my first dentist appointment. He said my teeth are doing great. I have a lot more teeth coming in - and they hurt.
(Jan 17) Take a look at the project that my Daddy is working on.
(Jan 14) Daddy bought some used football astroturf and covered the floor of my porch with it. It is soft and fuzzy now. When it warms up, I'll have fun playing out there.
(Jan 15) Here's a picture of me (now) and my dad (when he was my age). Do you think we look alike?

(Jan 12) For my 13 month birthday, we went to IHOP for breakfast. The waitress gave me a free fruit bowl with my breakfast. Then, Mommy and Daddy bought me a Busy Ball Popper (just like the one I loved at the birthday party I went to last week - see it in action by clicking here). Then, we went to the outlet center and I rode on the carousel and the firetruck and the jeep and the race car... I was pooped by the time we got home, but I still got in a lot of time playing with my new toy.
(Jan 8) Mommy took me to the pool. I'm taking lessons to learn how to swim. I'm going to try and get Daddy to come to the next lesson.
(Jan 6) Grandma came down and we did major house cleaning. Now Mommy lets me play on the back porch when she does laundry.
(Jan 5) I had a wild day. We went shopping (I got two new outfits). Then we went out for lunch (I had my own chicken finger and fries meal). I fell asleep in the car, thinking we were heading home. When I woke up, we were at the park. I played for two whole hours with a bunch of other kids and went down the tallest slide by myself. We went home and I tried to squeeze in a nap, but we had to leave again for a birthday party. Finally, we got home again and I just collapsed on the couch and fell asleep.
(Jan 1) It is a new year. I tried to stay up last night, but I fell asleep around 10:00.
